Gear for families who go outside
Nolan Outfitters started with a simple problem: there was great outdoor gear for adults, and very little that actually fit kids.
Owned
Proudly women-owned
Nolan Outfitters is a women-owned business. We make the gear we want for our own families: sized for small explorers and built to be handed down.
Why we started
Our first family camping trip ended at 2am with a toddler swimming inside an adult sleeping bag and a rain jacket that went down to her ankles. We drove home early, tired and a little defeated.
So we started making the gear we wished we had: sleeping bags cut to a child's height, rain suits that go on in seconds and layers soft enough for kids who hate scratchy sweaters.
Kids grow fast, so we also made it easy to send gear back. Trade-in credit means the next size up costs less, and the gear your kids outgrew keeps exploring with someone else.
What we care about
Sized for small bodies
Kid-length bags, toddler cuts and hoods that move with small heads. Not adult gear in a smaller size.
Easy for parents
Two-zipper suits, mittens that open wide, carriers that adjust in seconds. Less wrestling, more walking.
Built to be handed down
Tough fabrics and simple repairs, plus a trade-in program so good gear keeps getting used.
Giving back to trails
1% of every sale goes to nonprofits that build and care for family-friendly trails.
